- Upgrade to SQL Server database simplified - one of the major enhancements
for version 7.1 of Video Vision Plus relates to using a SQL Server database
with Video Vision Plus. The process of upgrading from using a MS Access
database to using a SQL Server database has been dramatically simplified
and no longer requires a your own copy of Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
The price of upgrading to an SQL Server database has also been reduced.
- Integrated credit card processing - upon purchase of the new Mercury
Pay add-on module credit card processing may now be conducted from within
Video Vision Plus. This module is currently only available for US customers
eligible for a Mercury Pay account.
- Split payments - transactions may now be paid with a combination of
payment methods.
- Customers may be designated as exempt from sales tax.
- Return to search - a new option is available allowing you to return
to the previous search results after viewing an item/customer from the
search screen.
- Blank barcode printing enabled in the barcode printing module allowing
printing to a partial sheet of labels.
- Extra alerts added prior to completing the purge of a customer/rental
item.
- Alert option added for the "item reserved for today" prompt when returning
a rental item.
- Transaction number added to the information shown on the speed returns
screen.
- When click cover image/trailer button default location for file dialog
is default cover/trailer location
- When click photo button in customer screen default location for file
dialog is default customer photo location.
- Faster and more accurate transaction ref allocation process for multi-terminals
- Email syntax checker - when a customer is added or edited and an email
address is suplied it is checked for validity (in terms of syntax).
- When making a backup, if a file name that already exists is selected,
a prompt is given instead of simply overwriting.
- Ability to show price in product search results
- Entering of selling price blocked in rental item screen if item status
does not allow sale
- User priority for start/end cash drawer session.
- Report showing availability and phone number for items reserved for
today added
- Signature line removed on sales receipts for general customer sales
- Delete rental categories allowed
- Faster loading of transaction screen for non-database customer sales
- Consecutive numeric barcode printing when a item-prefix is specified
